Join us from 6pm on Wednesday 23rd September for an open-air screening of MadFabulous in the grounds at Hyll, with views stretching out across the Cotswolds.
The film was written by Hyll co-owner Lisa Baker, and before the screening Lisa will be joined by director Celyn Jones and producer Paul Baker for a live conversation about the making of the film. From the first idea to the finished screen.
The film will begin at 7pm, with the conversation and evening concluding at approximately 9.30pm.
Modern life encourages a slightly frantic relationship with attention. We watch films while checking messages. We listen while replying to emails. Even leisure has started to feel oddly efficient.
An outdoor cinema, by contrast, asks very little of you except that you turn up and pay attention for a while.
Film outside. Conversation afterwards. The rare pleasure of sitting somewhere beautiful with nothing else competing for your attention.
